Testimony
Kishore was born in Chicago, Illinois as one of 3 children in his family. He was raised in a Hindu home but could never fully understand the Hindu religion. At the young age of fifteen, his father was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, and Kishore could find no answer to prayer from any of the numerous gods in the Hindu faith. For the next 7 years, he became a staunch atheist with absolutely no belief in God, especially not a God who was a loving Creator of all things. With no spiritual base to stand on, his life became one of selfish ambition and sinful desires.
In 1998, Kishore entered medical school with the only goal of becoming a physician. However, what he did not realize at the time, was that God had a much greater purpose in sending him to medical school. By exploring and learning about the human body, Kishore became convinced that there was no way that something so beautiful and organized as the body could ever come about by accident. Indeed, he started to recognize God’s awesome gift of His creation. Though he did not recognize the source at the time, the Spirit began a stirring in his heart. In the summer of 1999, Kishore asked the author of all creation, Jesus Christ, into his heart. From that moment forward, through His grace and forgiveness, God has given Kishore a heart for the lost and the broken.
Kishore attends Allegheny Center Alliance Church in Pittsburgh, PA. He leads and shares the teachings at the POPS Guys Church that meets every other week in Wexford, PA. Kishore is also a board member, worship leader, and speaker for the Indian Christian Fellowship Church which meets in Allison Park, PA. He has spoken inside and outside of the region in many churches of many different denominations.
Kishore lives in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his beautiful wife Katie and four amazing teenaged children. He works as a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and also directs the Down Syndrome Center of Western Pennsylvania. He is a nationally recognized speaker in the medical field. Kishore's greatest joy is following God’s call to speak about God’s awesome power and love. Having been overwhelmed by God’s loving pursuit of him, Kishore now relishes sharing that love with others.
"'For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate." Luke 15:24
